You believed that these characters were lovers or best friends because they got along so well behind the scenes. Despite high viewership numbers, Netflix recently canceled Grace and Frankie. Its seventh season was its last. The showrunners managed to tie up all the loose story threads for all the major characters. They overcame their personal demons and emerged stronger together.
Not all fans liked the way it was handled, but it’s impossible to please everyone. Some thought it got too dark, but others thought it was realistic and hopeful enough.
What necessitated the need for an ending? Why did a show that was still pulling in viewers have to go? There are many potential explanations. Could it be a salary dispute earlier in the series run? The main ladies insisted it was a joke, but it could have left a mark on the minds of the higher-ups.
