The request backfired and blacklisted him from getting any substantial roles for a long time. Vin Diesel even refused to let him into the family of the Fast and the Furious crew.
He’s managed to get off drugs and find a woman who supports him. He’s also working again.
Showing the world his struggles in JCVD helped fans and executives forgive him. He became an action hero again in The Expendables 2 and even tried comedy again in Welcome to the Jungle.
