Land of the Lost was a favorite for many. It had sci-fi adventures in a strange and interesting setting.
It also had a tight-knit family. The actors who played them were just as close off-set.
Kathy Coleman fondly remembers her time as Holly. She was a character who showed that girls could be tough. The show ended due to a range of factors. High budgets, a lack of time, and other problems lead to its cancellation. That didn’t take away the memories the cast had together.
Any and all of them were talented enough actors to have long-lasting careers. That included Kathy.
The world was surprised when she disappeared for decades. What could have made her take that path?
The answer was love. She was married at the young age of 18 and moved to her husband’s father’s pig farm. She spent years working there. It was a grueling period she had to overcome to live her current, stable life. Kathy loves her fans as much as her Land of the Lost Family and works to honor them.. She often pops up at conventions and events.
She may not be done with acting forever. She’s proud of the impact Land of the Lost has had but feels the show is ripe for another reboot. That’s especially true after her cameo in the 2009 film was cut. Any future plans would have to go by her costars, many of whom have been lost to this world. Perhaps she’ll simply remain a treasured part of TV history.
