Epic Halloween Costume Ideas That Went Frighteningly Wrong

Halloween

Halloween falls on October 31st every year, and it isn’t a holiday just for kids. Adults love to dress up on Halloween to attend parties, to dress up for work, or to wear a costume while taking their children trick or treating. Many costumes are great and really creative. However, some costumes really miss the mark. Here are some epic Halloween costume ideas that went frighteningly wrong.

The Dalmatians Are Disgusted

101 Dalmatians is a great movie, and some believe that it would be a really great costume. The two people who dressed up like Dalmatians look incredibly proud of their costumes. Their dogs don’t look to thrilled. The dog they are hugging seems humiliated, and the dog on the stairs is looking at them like they are crazy.

Lobster Babies

Dressing your child up like a lobster is adorable. However, it gets a bit creepy when you put your lobster baby in a pan to make it look like you are ready to cook them. Only one of these babies appears happy about the situation.

Ghetto C-3P0

It is up to the parents to make sure that their kids have great costumes. The parents of this boy really failed at that. His C-390 costume is made from paper and masking tape. He would have been better off sitting in a metal trashcan and calling himself R2D2.

Everyone’s Nightmare

This group of clowns looks like something out of your worst nightmare. Whoever did their makeup did such a horrible job that these three people look terrifying.

Water Cooler

Dressing up like a water cooler is a great idea. It was so good in fact that this boy won a ribbon for his costume. The only problem is that it looks like he is having trouble breathing. He could use a drink, but ironically, he can’t drink while wearing his water cooler costume.

Frozen Failure

Frozen has been a trendy costume choice for the past several years. The boy who created this costume didn’t have a clue. The fake braid and the white face paint make this costume an epic failure all around.

Barnyard Animals

In theory, a family dressing up like barnyard animals is cute. Unfortunately, this family failed. The mother is a pig, and her children are a sheep and a chicken, but they just look insane.

Spaghetti and Meatballs

Why is it that parents think it is adorable to dress their babies up like food? If either of these babies dressed as spaghetti and meatballs had a say in their costumes, they likely would have chosen something different.

The Purge?

The two men thought it would be great to dress up like Sesame Street’s Bert and Ernie. Unfortunately, instead of looking like the lovable characters, they look like two men ready to go out on Purge night. There is nothing cute about these costumes.

Morbid Mouse

Dressing little kids up like mice is adorable; however, when you put your little mouse in a mousetrap, it makes the whole thing morbid. At least this little mouse didn’t have to do any walking while trick or treating.

A Nightmare Version of The Simpsons

A family dressing up like The Simpsons is a great idea, but you have to do it right. “Homer’s” 5 o’clock shadow looks like blood, and the whole family looks possessed.

Scooby Don’t

Scooby-Doo is a great costume, as long as you do it right. Making a Scooby-Doo head from paper-mache when you have no idea what you are doing is a bad idea. This Scooby-Doo is a Scooby-Don’t.

Barbar

This family was attempting to emulate the Barbar cartoons with their costumes, but all they did was create something that looks like a bunch of hunters who are wearing animal heads as trophies.

Rainbow

In theory, a family dressing up as a rainbow is excellent. However, the costume only makes sense if the family is huddled around each other. It might be hard to have fun at a party like this. Also, trick or treating is out of the question.

A Giant Spider

A giant spider is a pretty unique Halloween costume; however, most kids don’t want to see that much of their mother’s legs. She could have created the same look with a pair of black pants.

At Least the Concept Is Clever

The Coneheads was a popular skit on Saturday Night Live, and some say that the movie was great. This family tried to dress like the Coneheads, but the only one who looks believable is the dad. The rest of the family really missed their mark.

Groceries

Dressing up as a grocery bag for Halloween is clever, but who wants to walk around with a cracker box taped to their face?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

For this office party, this group dressed up like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Judging by their costumes, you can only assume that they were only allowed to use what they could find in the office supply closet to make their costumes. A good Halloween costume requires more than construction paper and cardboard.

Home Improvement

Dressing like Wilson from Home Improvement is creative, but as soon this woman lowers her fence, nobody will know what she is. By the end of the night, her arm will be sore
