There are some actors and actresses who will take any good role that offers to them. There are others who have strict policies when it comes to nudity. Also, there are many celebrities who make sure that it is written in their contract that nude scenes are not an option. Here are a few actresses who refuse to bare it all.
Jessica Simpson
Jessica Simpson is a famous musician and also an actress. She has modeled over the years and also uploaded pictures to her Instagram with her wearing skimpy clothing, but she has never revealed it all for the world to see. Since the beginning, Jessica has been against taking it all off for the camera. She says that she won’t bare it all no matter how significant the role is. She says that even if she were guaranteed an Oscar, she wouldn’t do it. What is hidden behind her clothing is only for her husband to see.
Sarah Jessica Parker
Sarah Jessica Parker is famous for her role as Carrie in Sex and the City. Despite the many love scenes she has had in the film, she refuses to get naked for them. She says that she has always had a “no-nudity” clause in her contracts. She says that she has no problem with those who choose to get naked on camera, but she just chooses not to.
Rebel Wilson
Rebel isn’t comfortable taking it all off for the camera, and she makes sure that it is written in her contracts. When she was filming, The Brothers Grimsby, Sacha Baron Cohen, who wrote and starred in the film, needed a nude scene from Rebel. When she refused, he hired a body double to stand in for her. She says that in the future, she might change her views on taking it off for the camera, but never for a comedy.
Mandy Moore
Singer/actress Mandy Moore refuses to do scenes in the nude. She says that she sees no need for these scenes. She also doesn’t want to get naked on film because when people pass her on the streets, she will always wonder if they had seen her nude, or if they were picturing her nude at that moment. And she believes that doing nude scenes is fine for anyone who feels comfortable, but she doesn’t.
Julia Roberts
Julia Roberts has been Hollywood’s darling for over 20-years now. In all of this, she has never taken her clothes off. During a 2007 interview with OK! Magazine, she said, “To act with my clothes on is a performance. To act with my clothes off is a documentary.” When she played a hooker named Vivian in the 1990 film, Pretty Woman, there were scenes where she was scantily clad During these scenes, her body double, Shelley Michelle, stood in. One of the scenes that Shelly stood in for was the memorable opening scene when Vivian pulls on her thigh-high boots.
Ashley Benson
Ashley Benson has a line that she won’t cross when it comes to nudity on camera. She says that these nudity clauses can be difficult to negotiate because the director and producer are always pushing for more. She believes that women look better in lingerie or a t-shirt, and the rest can be left to the imagination. Also, she says that if someone tries to push her too far, she lets them know that they can make the film without her.
Kristin Bell
Kristin Bell has no problem filming in a bra and underwear, which she did when she played Jeannie Van Der Hooven on House Of Lies. She made sure that the director and producer knew that it was as far as she was willing to go. She says that people tell her all the time to get naked in her films, and her response is, “Dream on.”
Rachel Bilson
Rachel Bilson says that if a director is not willing to accept that she won’t show more skin, she isn’t willing to compromise. Because director Tony Goldwyn wanted her to appear mostly naked in the 2006 film, The Last Kiss, she almost dropped out. She says that it is nearly a deal-breaker. She also says that she is strong-willed enough not to let directors and producers push her into doing something she doesn’t want to.
Jennifer Garner
When Jennifer was doing press for the 2009 film, The Invention Of Lying, she stated that she would not take it all off for any movie. While her co-star, Ricky Gervais, appeared without a shirt, they both said that they wouldn’t appear on-screen completely naked. Jennifer says that there is a zero percent chance that she can talk into changing her mind.
Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba has a strict no-nudity policy for a very good reason. She says that she doesn’t want her family to see her in a movie, and see more than she would ever want them to. She says that it isn’t worth her family seeing more than she would like.
Anna Kendrick
Anna Kendrick has a strict no-nudity policy. She says that she won’t take her clothes off on camera, because she would not do that at a party in Mayfair, London. She has stuck to her convictions, and they used a butt double when she starred in Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. We now understand why Anna Kendrick refuses to do nude scenes.
