How Color Blind People See The World

#1 Normal VisionWhen a person has normal color vision, they can see colors the way they are. Also, the colors look lighter and brighter to a person who has normal color vision than a person who has a color vision impairment. HOW COLOR BLIND PEOPLE SEE THE WORLD varies depending on the type of colorblindness the person suffers from.

#2 DeuteranomaliaDeuteranomaly is the most common type of color blindness. About 4.63 percent of men and 0.36percent of women have this color deficiency. Many people who suffer from this type of color blindness don’t even realize that they are colorblind. This is because the problem is very minor. People who suffer from this type of colorblindness see subdued colors. It is especially true when it comes to colors like red and green.

#3 ProtanopiaThis is a type of colorblindness that is often seen in men and it is relatively rare. Only about 1 percent of men have this type of colorblindness. When they see red or green, they appear very faded. Yellows and blues are even worse.

#4 TritanopiaThis is a very rare of colorblindness. It is believed that only 0.0001 percent of men and women have it. When a person with this condition sees colors, they all have a pink/greenish tone. This can make distinguishing color very difficult.

#5 MonochromacyA person with this type of colorblindness cannot see color at all. Like dogs, people with this type see only black and white. It is extremely rare, and only 0.00003 percent of people in the world are affected by this condition.

#6 Pug In a Tulip FieldIf you look at all four pictures, you will see that they are all different. The photo in normal vision is light and bright and each of the colors is very distinctive. The deuteranomaly photo is duller. The greens are darker and the yellows and the purples are dark. In the protanopia photo, the dirt has a gray hue and so does the dog. The green is dull and the purples look blue and the pinks look like a pale purple. The tritanopia photo has blue grass rather than green and the all of the flowers look red, pink, and white. The dirt has a pinkish hue.

#7 Melody Of the Night By Leonid AfremovThe normal vision color of this photo looks beautiful. The colors are bright and vivid. The colors that a person with deuteranomaly would see are very similar to that of normal color vision. Protanopia is where it starts to change. The lights and the reflections are yellow rather than orange and the sidewalks look purple. The tritanopia photo is completely different. It is almost as though the artist has used completely different colors. The lights are all pink and the streets and trees are aqua rather than blue.

#8 Stop LightSince this is an everyday object, therefore, people with colorblindness are affected every day. With normal color vision, the lights are red, yellow, and green. The deuteranomaly photo has an orange light rather than a red light and a blue light rather than a green light. The yellow light in both pictures looks the same. In the protanopia photo, the red and yellow lights both look yellow. The bottom light is gray rather than green. The tritanopia photo looks much different than all of them. The red light has an orange tint, the yellow light is pink, and the green light is aqua.

#9 Rainbow HairRainbow hair is in style right now, however, unless a person has normal vision, the colors won’t look right. In the normal photo, all of the colors look the same and the woman has reddish blonde hair. In the deuteranomaly photo, the colors are duller. The red looks yellow and her natural hair doesn’t have the red highlights. In the protanopia photo, her hair looks awful. She has the blue but the rest of the colors look like a pale shade of yellow. Her natural hair has no blonde or red highlights. The tritanopia photo is the most different. The girl’s natural color hair is pink. The blue is green, the yellow is white, and the red is faded.

#10 Bored PandaThe normal color vision photo of the panda looks normal. The one thing that you will notice in this picture is that the panda never changes no matter what color vision the person has. In the tritanopia photo, the black is a bit lighter. The walls in each photo are slightly different except for the tritanopia, which is pink. The same is true with the books.

#11 ParrotsThese pictures are all very different. The normal vision color parrots are bright. In the deuteranomaly, the photo has a brown bird on the left rather than a red bird. The other birds look the same. In the protanopia photo, the red bird is green, the green bird is yellow, and the bird on the right side has gray rings rather than blue wings. The tritanopia photo is completely different from the birds to the background. The only bird that looks slightly similar is the red parrot with the blue wings.

#12 Nyan CatThe photos in the Nyan Cat photo that look the most similar are the normal vision and the tritanopia. Also, the deuteranomaly and the protanopia photos are also similar with a few slight differences.

#13 TomatoesTomatoes come in a few different colors. People with normal color vision see them as red, orange, yellow, and green. People who suffer from deuteranomaly and protanopia cannot see red tomatoes at all. This must make it difficult for them to tell if the tomatoes on their plant ripe. People with tritanopia see red, but the yellow tomatoes are pink and the green tomatoes are blue.

#14 Frida KahloIn normal vision, this picture is still strange, but the colors are normal. In the deuteranomaly and the protanopia photos, the green background looks brown and the rest of the colors are muted. In the tritanopia photo, the flowers on the head still look pink, but the background looks blue

#15 The SimpsonsMost of the photos here are relatively similar, however, in the deuteranomaly photo, the family looks tan rather than yellow. In the tritanopia photo, the family is pink. This will make it look like the colors on the viewer’s television are completely messed up.
