Here’s How Seinfeld’s TV Girlfriends Look Today

Julia Louis-Dreyfus or Elaine Benes

Jerry Seinfeld dated a total of 66 women on screen in Seinfield and Julia Louis Dreyfus, a.k.a Elaine Benes, certainly happens to be the most memorable of them all. Elaine and Jerry were romantically involved before the show started and thus, their chemistry on-screen was great. Though the two were not together on the show initially, NBC executives requested Larry David to write an episode where the two come together. Consequentially, David wrote ‘The Deal’ in which Elaine and Jerry enter into a kind of friends-with-benefits scenario after watching soft porn on television.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus was a popular SNL member and has come a long way since her Seinfeld days. Today, she has 11 Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe, 5 American Comedy Awards and 9 Screen Actors Guild Awards to her credit. Julia and Jerry may have dated in real life but she married fellow SNL comedian Brad Hall in 1987 and the couple has two sons together.

Janeane Garofalo or Jeanie Steinman

Jeanie Steinman, played by Janeane Garofalo, appeared in the final episode titled The Invitation of the seventh season of Seinfeld. In the episode, she basically plays the female version of Jerry Seinfeld. The two meet and Jerry realizes they are a perfect match for they have so many similarities. Jerry proposes to Jeanie but soon realizes what a terrible mistake marrying her would be. The two break up after blurting out ‘I hate you’ at the same time. Janeane is a popular comedian and we all know her from her SNL days. She regularly appears on television shows and will next be seen in the upcoming drama film The God Committee.

Amanda Peet or Lanette

Amanda Peet portrayed Lanette in the final episode of the eighth season, The Summer of George. In the episode, Amanda played a waitress named Lanette who Jerry is dating but who lives with and shares a weird relationship with a man named Lyle. Amanda was 25 when she played Lanette. Today, she has films like Something’s Gotta Give, Syriana and The Way, Way Back to her credit. Amanda married David Benioff, co-creator and writer of Game of Thrones and son of former Goldman Sachs CEO Stephen Friedman, in 2006 and the couple has three children together. Amanda considers Seinfeld a feather in her cap.

If you are surprised to know Amanda Peet was one of Seinfeld’s many on-screen girlfriends, you will be even more surprised to know Seinfeld’s connection to The Gilmore Girls and Breaking Bad. Catherine Keener or Nina

Actress Catherine Keener appeared as Jerry’s girlfriend Nina in the twentieth episode of season three of Seinfeld. In the episode, Nina impresses Jerry by writing him a letter. Jerry calls Nina after reading her letter and the two begin a romantic relationship.

Catherine Keener who played the role is one of the biggest names in the independent film industry and has appeared in films like The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Into the Wild and Get Out. She also has two Oscar nominations to her credit — she has been nominated twice under the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her films Being John Malkovich and Capote. She was last seen in the American comedy-drama Kidding.

Kristin Davis or Jenna

Kristin Davis guest-starred as Jenna in episode 16 titled The Pothole of the season 8 of Seinfeld. In the episode, Jerry tells Jenna that he had mistakenly dropped Jenna’s toothbrush into the toilet. She may have forgiven Jerry had he told her this before she used the toothbrush to brush her teeth. After Seinfeld, Kristin landed the role of Charlotte Goldenblatt on the hit HBO series Sex and the City. Though Kristin Davis never got married, she has adopted two children — a daughter named Gemma and a son named Wilson. The actress’ current worth is $35 million.

Teri Hatcher or Sidra

Teri Hatcher guest-starred as Sidra in the Seinfeld episode titled The Implant. In the episode, Elaine tells Jerry that Sidra’s breasts aren’t real. Jerry, annoyed, breaks up with Sidra. Elaine later runs into Sidra at a sauna and ends up falling on top of her only to realize that her breasts are real. After Elaine shares this information with Jerry, he immediately takes Sidra back into his life. When Sidra later sees Elaine at Jerry’s apartment, she presumes that Jerry had sent her to check if Sidra’s breasts are indeed real. She leaves the apartment in anger but before leaving delivers what would become an iconic line: they’re real and they’re spectacular.

Teri Hatcher may have been a relatively unknown name when she guest-starred in Seinfeld. However, she has become quite popular since. People know her best as Susan Mayer from Desperate Housewives and as Paris Carver from the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. The actress’ net worth is worth $50 million today.

Christine Taylor or Ellen

Through the show, Jerry used the weirdest of excuses to break up with his girlfriends. His reason to break up with Ellen, played by Christine Taylor, was certainly very weird. Jerry broke up with her because he couldn’t find anything wrong with her. Further, Jerry’s parents loved Ellen, which further drove Jerry away from Ellen. Christine Taylor, who played Ellen, is an established actress who played the role of Marcia Brady in The Brady Bunch Movie. She met actor Ben Stiller while shooting the TV show Heat Vision and Jack. The couple got married in 2000 and starred together in films like Zoolander and DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story. The couple separated in 2017, after 17 years of marriage. Christine will next be in comedy film Friendsgiving.

Jami Gertz or Jane

Jami Gertz guest-starred in Seinfeld’s season 5 episode titled The Stall and gave us one of the most famous interactions on the show. We bet you remember the line ‘can you spare a square?’ Funnily, it is Kramer’s addiction to phone sex that eventually reveals Jane’s true occupation in the episode. The episode was incredibly funny and Jami portrayed the character very well; which is not very surprising given that Jami is an established actress with films like The Lost Boys, Quicksilver and Crossroads under her kitty.

Jami may have played a mean character on the show. But in real life, she won American billionaire Antony Ressler, the co-founder of the private equity firms Apollo Global Management and Ares Management, with her sweet nature and the couple got married in 1989. The couple has three children. Jami doesn’t act much anymore but when your net worth is $3 billion, who needs an acting job!

Anna Gun as Amy

Anna Gun appeared as Amy in season 5 episode titled The Glasses, which also the first Seinfeld episode written by Tom Gammill and Max Pross. In the episode, George tells Jerry that he had seen Amy kissing another man. In reality, Amy wasn’t cheating on Jerry. The problem was George wasn’t wearing his glasses when saw a policewoman kissing her horse and took her to be Amy. After Seinfeld, Anna did a few roles here and there but she hit it big with Breaking Bad. And has won two Primetime Emmy Awards for her portrayal of Skyler White in the series.  Anna married actor Alastair Duncan in 1990 but the couple separated in 2009. She has remained single since then.

Courteney Cox or Meryl

Friends premiered on September 22, 1994, and made Courteney Cox a massive star. However, seven months before Friends’ premiere episode, Courteney had guest-starred as Meryl in Seinfeld‘s season 5 episode titled The Wife.

In the episode, Courteney poses as Jerry’s wife to take advantage of a certain offer at a dry-cleaning store. The small lie leads to huge problems when the couple runs into Uncle Leo who becomes upset by the fact that he wasn’t invited to the wedding. The relationship dies out after Jerry and Meryl become the stereotypical unhappily married couple. Other than Friends, Courteney has appeared in hit films like Scream, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and Mothers and Daughters. She last guest appeared on the hit show Modern Family. Also, the actress’ current net worth is $150 million.

Lauren Graham as Valerie

Before impressing the audiences as Lorelai Gilmore in The Gilmore Girls; lead actress Lauren Graham had guest-starred in Seinfeld as Valerie. In the episode, The Millenium, Jerry becomes obsessed with reaching the number one spot on Valerie’s speed dial list. Eventually, Jerry moves to the top spot but Valerie’s stepmother gets pissed about losing the number one position and springs into action.

Other than The Gilmore Girls and Parenthood, Lauren Graham has also guest-starred in hit films like Sweet November, The Pacifier, and Evan Almighty. In 2013, she became an author with her debut novel Someday, Someday, Maybe. Since 2010, Lauren has been in a relationship with Parenthood co-actor actor Peter Krause.
